Gerhard Wolfram (15 June 1922 – 20 January 1991) was a German dramaturge, theatre director and theatre artistic director. Life Born in Naumburg (Saale), Naumburg, Wolfram began training as an actor in Dresden during the Second World War. From 1946 to 1948, he worked as a consultant, director and dramaturge for Landessender Halle and Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk. In 1948/49, he was a director and actor at the Volksbühne Leipzig. From 1949 to 1951, Wolfram acted as head of department and literary editor at Berliner Rundfunk.
