Gerda Wallander
Gerda Charlotta Wallander (17 August 1860 – 14 January 1926) was a Swedish portrait and genre painter. Biography Wallander was born in Stockholm, Sweden. She was the daughter of Carl Emanuel Wallander and Fanny Albertina Hübner. She was the niece of artist and art professor Josef Wilhelm Wallander. She studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts during the period of 1879 to 1884, and then in Paris. She had several exhibitions of her landscape paintings. Her work, which included city motifs and landscapes, is held in the collections of Norrköping, Linköping, Jönköping and Kristianstad museums. In 1886, she married her cousin, the artist and designer Alf Wallander. Their son, Sven Wallander, was an architect. After 1905, she lived at Villa Gärdsgården at Stocksund in Danderyd municipality. Danderyd
Danderyd Municipality (''Danderyds kommun''; ) is a municipality north of Stockholm in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. It is one of the smallest municipalities of Sweden, but the most affluent. Its seat is located in Djursholm and it is located within Stockholm urban area. The "old" rural municipality Danderyd was split up during the early 20th century, when Djursholm and Stocksund broke away in 1901 and 1910 respectively. Since 1971 Danderyd Municipality is reunified in approximately the old boundaries. The population in 2019 was 32,857. The four districts making up Danderyd are: Danderyd, Djursholm, Stocksund and Enebyberg. Solna Church
Solna Church ( sv, Solna kyrka) is a so-called round church in Solna Municipality near Stockholm, Sweden. It is part of Solna Parish in the Diocese of Stockholm. The church is located on the headland between Brunnsviken and Ulvsundasjön, at the southern end of the cemetery Norra begravningsplatsen. The oldest parts of the church are from the later 12th century, a Romanesque fortress church built in stone. Today the church consists of a roundhouse, weaponhouse, choir, nave, sacristy, and two chancel tombs. Stocksund
Stocksund () is an upper class suburb in Metropolitan Stockholm, Sweden. Located immediately across the Edsviken and Stocksundet from Bergshamra, Stocksund is one of four parts of Danderyd Municipality north of Stockholm, which is the most affluent municipality of Sweden. Average real estate prices for houses are the highest in Sweden, similar to the neighbouring Djursholm. A villa is a type of house that was originally an ancient Roman upper class country house. Since its origins in the Roman villa, the idea and function of a villa have evolved considerably. After the fall of the Roman Republic, villas became small farming compounds, which were increasingly fortified in Late Antiquity, sometimes transferred to the Church for reuse as a monastery. Sven (in Danish and Norwegian, also Svend and also in Norwegian most commonly Svein) is a Scandinavian first name which is also used in the Low Countries and German-speaking countries.
