Gerardo Concepción
Gerardo Concepción Pérez (born February 29, 1992) is a Cuban former professional baseball pitcher. After competing in the 2010–11 Cuban National Series, winning the Rookie of the Year Award, he defection, defected to Mexico in order to become an MLB free agent. He pitched in MLB for the Chicago Cubs in 2016. Professional career Cuba Concepción debuted in the Cuban National Series with the 2010–11 Industriales. In his rookie season, Concepción finished with a 10–3 Win–loss record (pitching), win–loss record and a 3.36 earned run average (ERA) in 21 games pitched, including 16 games started. Dalier Hinojosa Hernández (born February 10, 1986) is a Cuban former professional baseball pitcher. Hinojosa pitched for the Indios de Guantánamo of the Cuban National Series and for the Cuban national baseball team before he defected from Cuba in 2012. Hinojosa then played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies. Cuban career Hinojosa played for the Indios de Guantánamo of the Cuban National Series from 2005 through 2012. The Arizona Fall League (AFL) is an off-season sports league owned and operated by Major League Baseball (MLB) which operates during the autumn in Arizona, United States, at six different baseball complexes. Arizona Fall League rosters are filled by many of the top prospects in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) who are assigned by their parent clubs. The Midwest League is a Minor League Baseball league established in 1947 and based in the Midwestern United States. A Class A league for most of its history, the league was promoted to High-A as part of Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues. The Midwest League began as the Illinois State League (1947–1948) and then became the Mississippi–Ohio Valley League (1949–1955). World Port Tournament
The World Port Tournament is an international baseball tournament held at the ''Neptunus Familiestadion'' in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The tournament has been held every other year ( excluded) in odd-numbered years since , alternating with the Haarlem Baseball Week.
