Gerard Johnson (musician)
Gerard Mark Johnson (born 1963) is a British keyboard player. He is best known for his work with Saint Etienne, The Syn and Yes. Early years Johnson was born in Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales. He was educated at Presentation College, Reading, Berkshire, England. He was a member of the Progress Theatre Student Group (1976–1981) and studied as a Tonmeister at the University of Surrey, Guildford. Career Johnson originally trained and worked as a recording engineer at London's Music Works studio (1985–87) and then as Chief Engineer at Orinoco Studios (now called Miloco Studios) (1987–91). During this time he recorded and mixed records by Enya, Ian McCulloch (of Echo & the Bunnymen), The Sugarcubes and the Pet Shop Boys. A keyboard instrument is a musical instrument played using a keyboard, a row of levers which are pressed by the fingers. The Pet Shop Boys are an English synth-pop duo formed in London in 1981. Alan White (Yes Drummer)
Alan White (14 June 1949 – 26 May 2022) was an English drummer, best known for his tenure in the progressive rock band Yes. He joined Yes in 1972 as a replacement for original drummer Bill Bruford. Following the death of bassist Chris Squire in 2015, White became the longest-remaining member in the band and the only member besides Squire to never leave the band prior to his death in 2022. He appeared on 43 albums with the band, 17 of which were original studio albums. In 1969, White joined John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Plastic Ono Band, after Lennon invited him to play at the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival festival, followed by a show at the Lyceum Ballroom. He notably played drums on the singles " Instant Karma!" and " Imagine", as well as most of Lennon's 1971 '' Imagine'' album. Paul Stacey
Paul Stacey (born 27 September 1963) is a British guitarist and producer, best known for his work with Oasis, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and the Black Crowes. Biography Stacey's early work included the 1990s band, the Lemon Trees (with twin brother Jeremy Stacey on drums, Guy Chambers and others) and Denzil. On 29 September 2006, Stacey was named as the replacement for Marc Ford in the Black Crowes, only a day after Ford faxed the band his resignation and two days before the band's fall tour was set to begin. Previous to this announcement Stacey had worked with The Black Crowes by remastering the band's album ''The Lost Crowes''. Stacey toured with The Black Crowes through the end of 2006 and is credited as a co-producer (with the rest of the band) for the Crowes' 2008 release ''Warpaint''. The Lemon Trees were a 1990s United Kingdom, UK pop music, pop musical ensemble, band consisting of Guy Chambers, twin brothers Paul Stacey and Jeremy Stacey, Alex Lewis and Paul Holman. Christopher Russell Edward Squire (4March 1948 – 27June 2015) was an English musician, singer and songwriter best known as the bassist and backing vocalist of the progressive rock band Yes (band), Yes. He was the longest-serving original member, having remained in the band until his death and appearing on every studio album released from 1969 to 2014. In 2017, he was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Yes. Peter Banks
Peter William Brockbanks (15 July 1947 – 7 March 2013), known professionally as Peter Banks, was a British guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and producer. He was the original guitarist in the rock band Yes, and also the Syn, Flash, and Empire. Sarah Cracknell (born 12 April 1967) is an English singer-songwriter and lead singer of the electronic music band Saint Etienne. Career Cracknell's career started with the Windsor-based indie band The Worried Parachutes in 1982. Following the demise of the band she released a solo single, ''Love Is All You Need'', in 1987. With friend Mick Bund, she then formed a new band, Prime Time, who released a handful of singles. She appeared on 1990 dance track ''Fingertips'' by Lovecut DB. Saint Etienne was originally to be an indie dance act featuring various vocalists. Peter Stewart Wiggs (born 15 May 1966) is an English musician and DJ from Reigate, Surrey. Saint Etienne Pete Wiggs is a member of the pop/dance group Saint Etienne (alongside Bob Stanley and Sarah Cracknell) for which he co-writes songs, produces and plays keyboards on stage. Bob Stanley (born Robert Andrew Shukman; 25 December 1964) is a British musician, journalist, author, and film producer.
