Geraldine Dondit
Geraldine Dondit (born 13 April 1976) is a former professional tennis player from Switzerland. Biography Dondit represented Switzerland in the Fed Cup from 1993 to 1995. She featured in a total of five ties, which included a World Group fixture in 1994. In a 1995 tie against Latvia, Dondit played a doubles rubber with a young Martina Hingis. On the professional tour, she reached a top singles ranking of 269 in the world, with WTA Tour main-draw appearances at Lucerne in 1994 and Palermo in 1995. She is now the tournament director of the WTA's Ladies Open Lugano and is a former personal assistant to Roger Federer. The Billie Jean King Cup (or the BJK Cup) is the premier international team competition in women's tennis, launched as the Federation Cup in 1963 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The WTA Tour is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for women organized by the Women's Tennis Association. The second-tier tour is the WTA 125K series, and third-tier is the ITF Women's Circuit. The men's equivalent is the ATP Tour. Ladies Open Lugano
The inaugural edition of the Ladies Open Lugano, formerly the Ladies Open Biel/Bienne, an International-level WTA tennis event, was held in April 2017 at the Swiss National Tennis Centre in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. The new indoor arena was completed in February 2017. The tournament lasted only one year in Biel/Bienne and was moved to Lugano in 2018. The surface was also changed from indoor hard to outdoor clay. Lenka Cenková (born 24 January 1977) is a former professional Czech tennis player. Career Singles In 1996, she achieved her best WTA Tour result by reaching the semifinals at the ECM Prague Open held at Karlovy Vary. She lost the semifinal match to Patty Schnyder 7–5, 6–7, 6–7. She also reached the quarterfinals at the 1996 Austrian Open held at Maria Lankowitz, beating the No. 2 seed, Judith Wiesner in the first round, and eventually losing to Sandra Cecchini, 3–6, 7–5, 2–6.
