Llandudno
Llandudno (, ) is a seaside resort, town and community in Conwy County Borough, Wales, located on the Creuddyn peninsula, which protrudes into the Irish Sea. In the 2011 UK census, the community – which includes Gogarth, Penrhyn Bay, Craigside, Glanwydden, Penrhynside, and Bryn Pydew – had a population of 20,701. The town's name means "Church of Saint Tudno". ''Gaby'' is a 1956 drama film made by MGM. It is the third version of the 1930 play ''Waterloo Bridge'', previously made into films ''Waterloo Bridge'' (1931) and ''Waterloo Bridge'' (1940). It is the only version of the play made in color, and the least faithful to it. The title, the names of the main characters, and plot details were all changed. Unlike the 1931 and 1940 versions, this film ends happily. This version was directed by Curtis Bernhardt and produced by Edwin H. Knopf. ''Challenge to Lassie'' is an American drama directed by Richard Thorpe in Technicolor and released October 31, 1949, by MGM Studios. It was the fifth feature film starring the original Lassie, a collie named Pal, and the fourth and final ''Lassie'' film starring Donald Crisp. The movie is based on Eleanor Stackhouse Atkinson's 1912 novel ''Greyfriars Bobby'' which in turn is based on the supposedly true story of Greyfriars Bobby. Twelve years after starring in ''Challenge to Lassie'', Crisp would star in another movie based on the novel and produced by Walt Disney titled, ''Greyfriars Bobby''.
