Gerald Browne (1871 or 1872–1951) was a unionist politician in Northern Ireland. Browne worked as a journalist. He joined the Ulster Unionist Party The Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) is a unionist political party in Northern Ireland. The party was founded in 1905, emerging from the Irish Unionist Alliance in Ulster. Under Edward Carson, it led unionist opposition to the Irish Home Rule movem ... and was elected to the Senate of Northern Ireland in 1942,John F. Gerald Browne (cricketer)
Gerald Elliott Kenworthy Browne (14 May 1850 – 6 July 1910) was an English cricketer active in mid-1870s. Browne was a right-handed batsman. Life Born at Goldington Hall, Goldington, Bedfordshire, he was the son of William Kenworthy Browne and his wife Elizabeth Elliott. His father was a close friend of Edward FitzGerald the poet, and Gerald and his brother Elliott are mentioned in the 1904 biography of FitzGerald by Thomas Wright, as having the poet as a companion when they were boys. His father died in 1859 after a horse-riding accident. Browne was educated at Rugby School, from 1863, with his brother, their mother living in Rugby town. He made his debut in first-class cricket for Gloucestershire against Surrey in 1874 at The Oval, with him making a second first-class appearance for the county in that season against Sussex at the County Ground, Hove. He scored 20 runs in these two matches, top-scoring with 12. Browne died at Kilmacanogue, Ireland on 6 July 1910. His br ...

Earl Of Kenmare
The title of Earl of Kenmare was created in the Peerage of Ireland in 1801. It became extinct upon the death of the 7th Earl in 1952. All of the Earls bore the subsidiary titles of Viscount Castlerosse (1801), Viscount Kenmare (1798), and Baron Castlerosse (1798) in the Peerage of Ireland. The 2nd Earl was created Baron Kenmare, of Castlerosse in the County of Kerry in the Peerage of the United Kingdom in 1841, but this title became extinct upon his death. His brother and successor, the third earl, was again created Baron Kenmare, of Castlerosse in the County of Kerry in the Peerage of the United Kingdom in 1856, and this title survived until the extinction of the earldom in 1952.
