Geovanny Vicente-Romero is a Dominican political strategist, lawyer, columnist, international consultant and university professor who teaches strategic communications at Columbia University as an associate lecturer. He specializes in public policy and public administration, and has several years of experience in the public sector, academics, and journalism. He writes a weekly column for CNN as a political analyst. Early life and education Geovanny Antonio Vicente Romero was born in Padre Las Casas (Azua) in 1986 to a family of lawyers. His father, Marino Vicente Rosado has been working as judge for over 20 years (and he is still in office), and his mother, Digna Romero is also a lawyer, who served as an interim judge. Padre Las Casas, Dominican Republic
Padre Las Casas is a Municipalities of the Dominican Republic, municipality (''municipio'') of the Azua Province, Azua Provinces of the Dominican Republic, province in the Dominican Republic. It includes the municipal districts (''distritos municipal'') of La Siembra, Las Lagunas, and Los Fríos. Padre Las Casas is located in the foothills of the Cordillera Central, Hispaniola, Cordillera Central. ''La Prensa'' is a mainstream metropolitan newspaper, and became one of the first newspapers to print in color in Central America. History Brothers Antonio Dutriz and José Dutriz formed a commencial partnership known as Dutríz Hermanos on October 14, 1903. María Meléndez
María Eloisa Meléndez Altieri (born December 26, 1951) also known as Mayita, is a Puerto Rican politician who served as the mayor of the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico, from 2009 to 2021. Meléndez Altieri was elected during the Puerto Rican general elections of 2008, becoming the first woman elected to the office in Ponce's political history. She was also the first mayor of a party other than the Popular Democratic Party in Ponce since 1989, when Rafael Cordero Santiago became mayor. This is Mayita's second candidacy in politics on the island and her first electoral win.
