Georgiana Rolls, Baroness Llangattock
Georgiana, Lady Llangattock, (28 February 1837 (baptised) – 1 April 1923), born Georgiana Marcia Maclean and after her marriage termed Georgiana Marcia Rolls, was a socialite, benefactor and an enthusiast for Horatio Nelson and associated naval heroes. She was the wife of John Rolls, 1st Baron Llangattock, a Victorian landowner, Member of Parliament and agriculturalist. She and her husband lived at The Hendre, a Victorian country house north of Monmouth. Georgianna Kathleen Symonette
Georgianna Kathleen Symonette (4 April 1902 – 14 May 1965) a Bahamian suffragist, was the founding chairwoman of the Women's Branch of the Progressive Liberal Party and founding member of the Women's Suffrage Movement. In 2012, The Bahamian government issued a series of postage stamps to honor the women who campaigned to gain universal adult suffrage. Symonette appeared on the 25 cent stamp. Georgianna Stout (born 1967) is an American graphic designer. Biography Stout graduated with a B.F.A. in graphic design from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1989. From 1990 to 1993, Stout worked at Bethany Johns Design, a firm that specializes in print and publication for museums, art institutions, publishers and individual artists. 1994 she founded 2x4 with partners Michael Rock and Susan Sellers. There she designed brand identity, retail and environmental programs for such institutions as the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Centre, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and Dia:Beacon. Georgia Hopley
Georgianna Eliza Hopley (1858–1944) was an American journalist, political figure, and temperance advocate. A member of a prominent Ohio publishing family, she was the first woman reporter in Columbus, and editor of several publications. She served as a correspondent and representative at the 1900 Paris Exposition and the 1901 Pan-American Exposition. She was active in state and national politics, serving as vice-president of the Woman's Republican Club of Ohio and directing publicity for Warren G. Harding's presidential campaign. In 1922 Hopley became the first woman prohibition agent of the United States Bureau of Prohibition, where she was involved in education and publicity. Georgianna Millington Bishop (October 15, 1878 – September 1, 1971) was an American amateur golfer. She was the winner of the 1904 U.S. Women's Amateur, played at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. She played for the Brooklawn Golf Club in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Anne Rundle (''née'' Lamb; 1920 – 1989) was a British author of more than 40 gothic and romance novels. She also used the pseudonyms of Joanne Marshall, Marianne Lamont, Alexandra Manners, Jeanne Sanders, and Georgianna Bell. British West Florida
British West Florida was a colony of the Kingdom of Great Britain from 1763 until 1783, when it was ceded to Spain as part of the Peace of Paris. Buxton Festival
The Buxton Festival is an annual summer festival of opera, music and (since 2000) a literary series, held in Buxton, Derbyshire, England since its beginnings in July 1979. The 2020 festival would have run but was cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis. The 2023 Buxton International Festival will run 6–23 July. Origins of the present-day Festival The origins of the Festival date to September 1937, when an annual drama festival was first held (running until 1942) in conjunction with the London-based Old Vic Theatre Company under Lilian Baylis. In addition to plays at the Buxton Opera House, the festival ran a summer school at the adjoining Playhouse Theatre.
