State Route 84 (SR 84) is a state highway, located entirely within the south-central part of Gwinnett County in the U.S. state of Georgia. It connects US 78/ SR 10 in Snellville with SR 20 in Grayson. It is Georgia's shortest two-digit state route. Route description 200px, SR 84 SR 84 begins at an intersection with US 78/ SR 10 (known as Main Street East SW west of this intersection and Athens Highway east of it) in the southeastern part of Snellville. Here, the roadway continues to the south-southwest as Rockdale Circle SW. SR 84 heads north-northeast on Grayson Parkway, through partially rural and residential areas. Snellville is a city in Gwinnett County, Georgia, United States, east of Atlanta. The population was 18,242 at the 2010 census, and in 2019 the estimated population was 20,077. It is a developed suburb of Atlanta and a part of the Atlanta metropolitan area, and is located roughly 35–40 minutes east of Downtown Atlanta via US-78 and Interstate 285. History English settlers In 1874, Thomas Snell and James Sawyer, seventeen-year-old friends from London, secretly planned a voyage to the New World. Grayson is a city in Gwinnett County, Georgia, United States. The 2020 estimated population of Grayson, GA is 4740 people. The population was 2,666 at the 2010 census, up from 765 in 2000. Geography Grayson is located southeast of the center of Gwinnett County at (33.893306, -83.955420). Georgia State Route 20 is the main highway through town, leading north into Lawrenceville, the county seat, and southeast five miles to Loganville. Georgia State Route 84 (Grayson Parkway) leads southwest five miles to Snellville. State Route 20 (SR 20) is a state highway roughly in the shape of a capital J rotated ninety degrees to the left, which travels through portions of Floyd, Bartow, Cherokee, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Walton, Rockdale, Newton, and Henry counties in the northwestern and north-central parts of the U.S. state of Georgia.
