The highway connects Ray City with Wilsonville, via Pearson. Route description SR 64 begins at an intersection with US 129/ SR 11/ SR 37 in Ray City. It heads to the north-northeast, through rural areas of Berrien County. The highway then enters Lanier County. It begins a concurrency with SR 135 just before crossing back into Berrien County. Ray City is a city in Berrien County and Lanier County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,090 at the 2010 census. History Early variant names were "Ray's Pond" and "Ray's Mill". The community was named after Ray M. Thomas, the proprietor of a local mill. Geography Ray City is in southern Berrien County, with a small portion extending south into Lanier County. State Route 73 (SR 73) is a state highway in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Georgia. It connects Glennville with the South Carolina state line, via Claxton, Statesboro, Dover, and Sylvania. Reidsville, Georgia
Reidsville is a city in, and county seat of, Tattnall County, Georgia. The population was 4,944 at the 2010 census. The Georgia State Prison is near Reidsville. History Reidsville was founded in about 1828 and was designated county seat of Tattnall County in 1832 by the Georgia General Assembly. It was incorporated as a town in 1838 and as a city in 1905. The city was named after Robert R. Reid, territorial governor of Florida. Reidsville is home to the Nelson Hotel Bed & Breakfast. During the events of World War II, Reidsville was the home to at least one, though some reports suggest two, prisoner of war camps for captured Nazi personnel.
