State Route 329 (SR 329) is a east-to-west state highway in the central part of the U.S. state of Georgia. It travels within portions of Macon and Dooly counties, with a portion along the Dooly–Macon county line and the Dooly–Houston county line. Route description SR 329 begins at an intersection with SR 26 east of Montezuma (and just west of Five Points in Macon County. It travels east, through Five Points, and then travels along the Dooly–Macon county line. Just over after Mims Road, it begins to travel along the Dooly–Houston county line. Just before intersecting the western terminus of County Line Road, it begins to curve to the southeast and enters Dooly County proper. After traveling through Emerich and intersecting the eastern terminus of Leavens Road, it curves back to the east and meets its eastern terminus, an intersection with SR 230 west of Unadilla (and northeast of Snow Spring. Montezuma, Georgia
Montezuma is a city in Macon County, Georgia ( ZIP code ''31063''). The population was 3,460 at the 2010 census, a decrease of 13.5% since 2000. It is home to the armory of Bravo Company, 648th Engineers of the Georgia Army National Guard. History Montezuma had its start in 1851, when the railroad was extended to that point. The city was named after the famous Aztec leader by soldiers returning from the Mexican-American War. It was incorporated in 1854. Montezuma is also home to a thriving Mennonite community, because 10 to 15 Mennonite families moved from Virginia in the 1950s. Georgia State Route 7
State Route 7 (SR 7) is a state highway that travels in a southeast-to-northwest orientation through portions of Lowndes, Cook, Tift, Turner, Crisp, Dooly, Houston, Peach, Crawford, Monroe, Lamar, Pike, and Spalding counties in the southern and central parts of the U.S. state of Georgia. The highway connects the Florida state line southeast of Lake Park to the Griffin area, via Valdosta, Tifton, Cordele, Perry, and Barnesville. The highway is concurrent with either US 41 or US 341 for its entire length, and closely parallels I-75 for much of its length. SR 7 was established at least as early as 1919 along nearly the same path it travels today. US 41/SR 7 was designated on a concurrency with I-75 northwest of Valdosta to Hahira in 1982.
