State Route 151 (SR 151) is a state highway that runs southwest-to-northeast through portions of Walker and Catoosa counties in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Georgia. The route connects the LaFayette area with the southeastern part of the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. Route description SR 151 begins at an intersection with US 27/ SR 1, south of LaFayette, in the southern part of Walker County, just north of the Chattooga County line. The road heads northeast to the unincorporated community of Naomi, where it intersects SR 136. The two highways have a short concurrency. After the concurrency ends, SR 151 continues to the northeast and enters Catoosa County. In Ringgold, SR 151 has an interchange with Interstate 75 (I-75). LaFayette ( ) is a city in, and the county seat of, Walker County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 6,888. It was founded as Chattooga. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Spur Route
A spur route is a short road forming a branch from a longer, more important road such as a freeway, Interstate Highway, or motorway. A bypass or beltway should not be considered a true spur route as it typically reconnects with another or the same major road. Canada In the province of Ontario, most spur routes are designated as A or B, such as Highway 17A, or 7B. A stands for "Alternate Route", and usually links a highway to a town's central core or main attraction, while B stands for "Business Route" or "Bypass", but are used when a main highway is routed around a town and away from its former alignment. The Chattahoochee–Oconee National Forest in northern Georgia comprises two United States National Forests, the Oconee National Forest in eastern Georgia and the Chattahoochee National Forest located in the North Georgia Mountains. State Route 3 (SR 3) is a state highway that travels south-to-north through portions of the western part of the U.S. state of Georgia, roughly paralleling Interstate 75 (I-75).
