Georgi Georgiev-Getz ( bg, Георги Георгиев-Гец; October 4, 1926 – September 2, 1996) was a Bulgarian film and stage actor. Best known for portraying valiant and honest conservative men, Getz was among the prominent names in the Bulgarian cinematography and theatre during the second half of the 20th century. He appeared in many of the Bulgarian film classics such as '' We Were Young'' (1961), '' The Tied Up Balloon'' (1967), '' The Eighth'' (1969), '' Thorn Apple'' (1972), '' Matriarchy'' (1977) and probably his most notable role as Yordan in '' A Peasant on a Bicycle'' (1974) for which he received an award for Best Actor at the 9th Moscow International Film Festival in 1975. Georgi Georgiev (born January 30, 1976) is a Bulgarian judoka. Career The career began in his native Pazardzhik under the direction of Ivan Filipov. He trained at the CSKA Army Sports Center in Sofia under the direction of Simeon Cenev. At the top level, he studied the vest wrestling styles combined judo and sambo. Georgi Georgiev ( bg, Георги Георгиев; born 12 October 1988) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Cherno More Varna and the Bulgaria national team. Career Tiraspol On 1 July 2011, Georgiev signed a two-year contract with FC Tiraspol following a successful trial period with the club. He quickly became the first choice goalkeeper.
