Georgi Borisov
Georgi Borisov ( bg, Георги Борисов; born 21 October 1974) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer who has also worked as manager. Career Club career Borisov came through the youth system of Loko Sofia and made his A PFG debut on 25 April 1991, in the railwaymen's 3:0 home win over Chernomorets Burgas, impressing with his performance. In the summer of 1997, he was signed by Levski Sofia on the insistence of coach Stefan Grozdanov and manager & player's agent Andrey Zhelyazkov. Notable highlights during his stay with the "bluemen" included a strong performance in the 1998 Bulgarian Cup Final against archrivals CSKA Sofia, which Levski Sofia won by a score of 5:0, as well as the netting of three goals in the 8:1 rout against Belarusian side Lokomotiv-96 Vitebsk on 13 August 1998 (the second largest margin of victory in European club tournaments for the team) in a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup match. The People's Republic of Bulgaria (PRB; bg, Народна Република България (НРБ), ''Narodna Republika Balgariya, NRB'') was the official name of Bulgaria, when it was a socialist republic from 1946 to 1990, ruled by the Bulgarian Communist Party (BCP) together with its coalition partner, the Bulgarian Agrarian People's Union. Stefan Stoyanov Grozdanov ( bg, Стефан Стоянов Грозданов) (born 13 March 1946) is a Bulgarian former football player and manager. He coached Bdin Vidin, Hebar Pazardzhik, Septemvri Sofia, Velbazhd Kyustendil, and Spartak Varna. Managerial career Lokomotiv Sofia In 2004, he took charge of the coaching staff of Lokomotiv Sofia. Dimitar Dushkov Penev ( bg, Димитър Душков Пенев, born 12 July 1945) is a Bulgarian football coach and former player and central defender of CSKA Sofia. He played 90 games for Bulgaria national football team and scored two goals. He is regarded as one of his country's best ever defenders, winning Bulgarian footballer of the year in 1967 and 1971, he also participated in three world cups for his country in 1966, 1970 and 1974. FC Minyor ( bg, ФК Миньор) is a football club in Pernik, Bulgaria, that competes in the Second League, the second tier of Bulgarian football. Founded in 1919 as SC Krakra, the club's home ground since 1954 has been Stadion Minyor. The club's name comes from the fact that the area around the city of Pernik has had long traditions with mining and the mining industry. FC Dorostol ( bg, ФК Доростол) is a Bulgarian football club based in Silistra, who currently plays at the North-East Third League, the third division of Bulgarian football. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries. Fans held a collection for Stephenson, and presented him with a hat bought with the proceeds. The term was used in print for the first time in 1865 in the ''Chelmsford Chronicle''. Nikola Kotkov
Nikola Todorov Kotkov ( bg, Никола Тодоров Котков) (9 December 1938 – 30 June 1971), nicknamed Koteto (Котето, "The Kitten") was a Bulgarian footballer who played as a striker. Born in the capital Sofia, Kotkov started his football career as a Lokomotiv Sofia trainee and went on to spend much of it (1956–1969) with the club, winning the Bulgarian Championship in 1964. He then played for Levski Sofia, until his death in 1971. Kotkov died together with his friend and teammate Georgi Asparuhov in a traffic accident in the Vitinya Pass of the Balkan Mountains, en route to Vratsa. With Levski, Kotkov became once again champion in 1970, winning the Bulgarian Cup the same year.
