Georges Villeneuve
Georges Villeneuve (20 February 1922 – 17 February 2020) was a Liberal Party of Canada, Liberal party member of the House of Commons of Canada. After school studies in Saint-Prime, then at the seminaries in Chicoutimi and Nicolet, Villeneuve began law studies in 1946 at Université Laval in Quebec City. After his graduation in 1949, he was granted status as a notary and opened a practice in Mistassini that August. Villeneuve was first elected at the Roberval (electoral district), Roberval riding in the 1953 Canadian federal election, 1953 general election then re-elected for one more term in 1957 Canadian federal election, 1957. He was defeated in the 1958 Canadian federal election, 1958 election by Jean-Noël Tremblay of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, Progressive Conservative party. Dolbeau-Mistassini
Dolbeau-Mistassini is a town in northern Quebec, Canada, at the confluence of the Mistassibi River, Riviere aux Rats and the Mistassini River, on Lac Saint-Jean. Dolbeau-Mistassini is in the Maria-Chapdelaine Regional County Municipality and is the commercial hub of Lac-St-Jean with big stores and shopping centres. The city was formed in 1997 through the amalgamation of the cities of Dolbeau and Mistassini. Dolbeau is located on the right (west) bank of the Mistassini River, in the geographic township of Parent (not in the adjacent Dolbeau Township). The town of Mistassini is on the left (east) bank of the Mistassini River at the confluence with the Mistassibi River, directly opposite Dolbeau.
