Georges Scandar
Georges Scandar (12 May 1927 in Zahleh, Lebanon – 15 May 2018) was the first eparch of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Zahleh and a former eparch of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Baalbek and Zahleh. Biography Georges Skandar was born in the predominantly Christian-Arab city Zahle. His ordination to the priesthood was on June 13, 1965 in the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Baalbek. On August 4, 1977 Georges Skandar was appointed eparch of Baalbek and Zahle. His solemn episcopal consecration took place on 12 November 1977 by the hands of the Maronite Patriarch of Antioch, Cardinal Anthony Peter Khoraish and his co-consecrators were Joseph Salamé, Archeparch of Aleppo and Ibrahim Hélou Ibrahim Hélou (27 March 1925 in Jezzine, Lebanon – 3 February 1996) was a Lebanese eparch of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Sidon. Ibrahim Hélou
Ibrahim Hélou (27 March 1925 in Jezzine, Lebanon – 3 February 1996) was a Lebanese eparch of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Sidon. Life Ibrahim Hélou was born in Jezzine, Lebanon. On 22 December 1951 he was ordained to the priesthood. On 12 July 1975 he received the appointment of Bishop of Sidon and on 23 August 1975 received his ordination to the episcopate from Archbishop Anthony Peter Khoraish, Maronite Patriarch of Antioch. His co-consecrators were Archeparch Elie Farah of Cyprus and Bishop Joseph Merhi, MLM, Eparch of Cairo. In 1985 Hélou was appointed by Pope John Paul II Apostolic administrator of the Maronite Patriarchate of Antioch. In this capacity he was also president of the Episcopal Conference of the Lebanese Patriarch and bishops. Joseph Salamé (25 December 1914 – 29 March 2004) was a Lebanese apostolic administrator of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Latakia and Archeparch of the Maronite Catholic Archeparchy of Aleppo. Life Salamé was born on 25 December 1914 in Antelias, Lebanon, the son of Baz Salamé and Jamilé Salamé. He was ordained as a priest on 10 March 1940. On 15 March 1967 he was appointed Archbishop of the Maronite Catholic Archeparchy of Aleppo and his consecration took place on 14 May 1967 by the hands of the Maronite Catholic Patriarch of Antioch, Paul Peter Meouchi, and his co-consecrators were Elie Farah, Archbishop of the Maronite Catholic Archeparchy of Cyprus and Joseph Khoury, Archbishop of the Maronite Catholic Archeparchy of Tyre. Patriarch Moran Mor Anthony III Peter Khoraish (September 20, 1907 – August 19, 1994), (or ''Antonios Boutros Khoraish'', ''Antoine Pierre Khreich'', ''Khraish'', ''Khoraiche'', ar, أنطونيوس الثالث بطرس خريش), was the 75th Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and the Whole Levant from 1975 until his resignation in 1986, and a cardinal of the Catholic Church.
