George Williams (born 31 October 1994) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a and for Warrington Wolves in the Super League and England at international level. He has previously played as a for the Wigan Warriors in the Super League, and spent time on loan from Wigan at the South Wales Scorpions in Championship 1. He spent two years in the NRL playing for the Canberra Raiders, however he was released during the 2021 NRL season on compassionate grounds. The Championship, known as the Betfred Championship for sponsorship reasons, is a professional rugby league competition. It is the second-tier competition organised by the Rugby Football League, the governing body for the sport in England, and consists of 14 teams, with promotion to the Super League and relegation to the third-tier competition, League One. The 2015 Super League Grand Final was the 18th official Grand Final and conclusive and championship-deciding match of the Super League XX season. Huddersfield Giants are an English professional rugby league club from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, the birthplace of rugby league, who play in the Super League competition. World Club Series
The World Club Series was an annual rugby league football competition played between clubs from the NRL (Australia and New Zealand) and the Super League (England and France). The competition culminated with the World Club Challenge, a single match played between the reigning champions of each league. The World Club Challenge was first contested in 1976 and was expanded to include two invited teams from each league playing a short Series in 2015. The Series was reduced to one invited team from each league in 2017, and suspended (only the usual Challenge was played) in 2018. Blake Green (born 18 September 1986) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played as a and in the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s. Green was regarded as somewhat of a journeyman during his career after playing for nine separate clubs. He played for the Parramatta Eels, Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League, Hull Kingston Rovers and the Wigan Warriors in the Super League, before returning to the NRL with the Melbourne Storm, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, New Zealand Warriors and finally Newcastle Knights.
