George W. Farr
George Wilbur Farr (July 6, 1875 – March 28, 1957) was an appointed Justice of the Montana Supreme Court, serving from 1922 to 1923. Born in Hamilton County, Nebraska, Farr received his law degree from Nebraska University in 1896. Farr came to Montana in 1896 and settled in Miles City, Montana, establishing his law practice. He served as Mayor of Miles City from May 3, 1909 to May 2, 1911 and served as president of the Montana Bar Association. On May 24, 1922, Governor J. The Montana Supreme Court is the supreme court, highest court of the state court system in the U.S. state of Montana. It is established and its powers defined by Article VII of the 1972 Montana Constitution. Hamilton County is a county in the U.S. state Nebraska. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 9,429. Its county seat is Aurora. The county was named for Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury in the new United States government. Miles City ( chy, Ma'xemâhoévé'ho'eno) is a city in and the county seat of Custer County, Montana, United States. The population was 8,354 at the 2020 census. History After the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876, the U.S. Army created forts in eastern Montana, including one where the north-flowing Tongue River flowed into the east-flowing Yellowstone River. The first fort was known as the Tongue River Cantonment or the Tongue River Barracks and was founded on August 27, 1876.
