George Toganivalu
Ratu George Toganivalu (died 17 June 1951) was a Fijian chief and politician. He was Roko Tui of Bua and Ba, and a member of the Legislative Council between 1940 and 1951. Ratu Julian Nasaroa Brown Toganivalu (1932 – 5 December 1977) was a Fijian chief, civil servant and politician. He was a member of the House of Representatives for three days in 1977. Biography Toganivalu was the son of George Toganivalu, a member of the Legislative Council. He enlisted in the Fijian Military Forces and at the age of 19 he became the first Fijian to attend the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Bua is one of fourteen provinces of Fiji. Fiji Military Forces
The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF, formerly the Royal Fiji Military Forces) is the military force of the Pacific island nation of Fiji. With a total manpower of about 4,000 active soldiers and approximately 6,000 reservists, it is one of the smallest militaries in the world. The Ground Force is organised into six infantry and one engineer battalions. The first two regular battalions of the Fiji Infantry Regiment are traditionally stationed overseas on peacekeeping duties; the 1st Battalion has been posted to Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and East Timor under the command of the UN, while the 2nd Battalion is stationed in Sinai with the MFO.
