George Takeli
George Angus Takeli (born 1959) is a Solomon Islands Anglican bishop. He has been Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church of Melanesia and Bishop of the Diocese of Central Melanesia since his enthronement in 17 April 2016. He was first married to Lilian, who died in 2014. He got married a second time to June in December 2015. Ecclesiastical career He was ordained an Anglican priest in 1995. He was undertaking a D.D. in Theology at Charles Stuart University in Australia, when he was elected the fourth bishop of the Diocese of Temotu on August 2009. He also has a M.D. in Theology from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He was elected the sixth Archbishop and Primate of Melanesia, in Honiara Honiara () is the capital and largest city of Solomon Islands, situated on the northwestern coast of Guadalcanal. , it had a population of 92,344 people. The Most Reverend
The Most Reverend is a style applied to certain religious figures, primarily within the historic denominations of Christianity, but occasionally in some more modern traditions also. It is a variant of the more common style "The Reverend". Anglican In the Anglican Communion, the style is applied to archbishops (including those who, for historical reasons, bear an alternative title, such as presiding bishop), rather than the style "The Right Reverend" which is used by other bishops. "The Most Reverend" is used by both primates (the senior archbishop of each independent national or regional church) and metropolitan archbishops (as metropolitan of an ecclesiastical province within a national or regional church). Retired archbishops usually revert to being styled "The Right Reverend", although they may be appointed "archbishop emeritus" by their province on retirement, in which case they retain the title "archbishop" and the style "The Most Reverend", as a courtesy.
