George Tadman
George Henry Tadman (5 November 1914 – 28 September 1994) was an English professional association football, footballer. His clubs included Bristol Rovers F.C., Bristol Rovers, Charlton Athletic F.C., Charlton Athletic, Gillingham F.C., Gillingham and Cheltenham Town F.C., Cheltenham Town before in 1948 becoming Street F.C. player manager. He made over 130 the Football League, Football League appearances. Gillingham Tadman rejoined Gillingham in the summer of 1935. Tadman finished the 1935–36 season as top goalscorer for Gillingham F.C., Gillingham with 18 goals. Charlton Athletic Tadman moved on to Charlton Athletic in the summer of 1936, and with it moved up from the Third Division South to the First Division. Tadman finished the 1936–37 season with 11 goals from 29 appearances. In the summer of 1937 Charlton Athletic toured Canada and the United States. Rainham ( ) is a town in the unitary authority of Medway, in Kent, South East England. The town forms a conurbation with neighbouring towns Chatham, Rochester, Strood and Gillingham. Historically, Rainham was a separate village until, in 1928, it was added to the Municipal Borough of Gillingham, which was originally created in 1903 and was grouped into the latter's built-up area in analysis of the 2011 census by the Office for National Statistics. It became part of the Medway authority when Gillingham was incorporated with the other towns to form Medway Unitary Authority in 1998. Geography Rainham occupies a large stretch of land from the dip slope of a moderate rise of the North Downs of about above sea level, descending to a frontage on the River Medway's natural harbour to the north.
