George S. Graves
George S. Graves (May 18, 1820 – March 7, 1902) was a lawyer, businessman, and politician. Born in Richfield, New York, Graves studied law in Lewis County, New York. In 1848, Graves moved to Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, where he practiced law. While living there, Graves served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1867 to 1869. In 1870, Graves moved to Fairchild, Wisconsin and was in the lumber business. He then moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He died in Nevada, Missouri Nevada ( ''nə--də'') is a city in and the county seat of Vernon County, on the western border of Missouri, United States. Richfield is a town located in Otsego County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 2,388. The Town of Richfield is located at the northern border of the county. History Richfield Springs was called "Big Medicine Waters" by the local natives. Lewis County is a county located in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 census, the population was 26,582, making it the fourth-least populous county in New York. Its county seat is Lowville. The county is named after Morgan Lewis, the Governor of New York when the county was established. History The area now occupied by Lewis County was very sparsely occupied until the end of the 18th century.
