George Karra
George Karra (, ; born 29 May 1952) is an Israeli Arab jurist who served as a judge on the Supreme Court of Israel. Biography George Karra was born to one of the most distinguished Arab Christian families in Jaffa, one of four children. He has three daughters. Karra studied at Terra Sancta primary school and Eshkolot high school in Jaffa. In 1973, he completed his law degree at Tel Aviv University, and opened his own law office in 1975. Karra was in private practice until 1989, when he was appointed a judge on the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court. After 11 years, he was promoted to the Tel Aviv District Court. He was appointed a senior court judge in 2010. Karra was the judge who convicted Israeli President Moshe Katsav of rape. In another high-profile case, he convicted Ofer Nimrodi of illegal wiretapping. In 2011, he was nominated as a candidate for the Supreme Court of Israel. The Arab citizens of Israel are the largest ethnic minority in the country. The Supreme Court (, ''Beit HaMishpat HaElyon''; ar, المحكمة العليا) is the Supreme court, highest court in Israel. It has ultimate appellate jurisdiction over all other courts, and in some cases original jurisdiction. Moshe Katsav
Moshe Katsav ( he, מֹשֶׁה קַצָּב; born 5 December 1945) is an Israeli former politician who was the List of Presidents of Israel, eighth President of Israel from 2000 to 2007. He was also a leading Likud member of the Israeli Knesset and a minister in its Cabinet of Israel, cabinet. He was the second Mizrahi Jew to be elected to presidency, after Yitzhak Navon. The end of his presidency was marked by controversy, stemming from allegations of rape of one female subordinate and sexual harassment of others. Katsav resigned the presidency in 2007 as part of a plea bargain. Katsav later rejected the deal with prosecutors and vowed he would prove his innocence in court. Ofer Nimrodi
Ofer Nimrodi ( he, עופר נמרודי; born May 23, 1957) is an Israeli jurist, businessman and former publisher. Biography Ofer Nimrodi, whose family was of Iraqi-Jewish origin, was born to Rivka and Yaakov Nimrodi in Iran in 1957 while his father served as the Israeli Military Attaché and Head of the Representation of the Ministry of Defense to Iran. On completion of his mandate, the family stayed for several more years in Iran as Yaakov Nimrodi became a successful businessman. Later on they returned to Israel, settling in Savyon. In the IDF, Nimrodi served as an artillery battery Commander in the Artillery Corps, and later as Commander of Brigade Support. He was discharged in 1979 and three years later fought in the First Lebanon War.
