Sir George Frederick Jenkins KBE (24 June 1878 – 25 July 1957) was an Australian politician. Jimmy Bryant
Ivy John Bryant Jr. (March 5, 1925 – September 22, 1980), known as Jimmy Bryant, was an American country music guitarist. He is best known for his collaborations with steel guitarist Speedy West and his session work. Biography Bryant was born in Moultrie, Georgia, the oldest of 12 children. During the Great Depression he played the fiddle on street corners to help support his family. In 1943, Bryant would join the United States Army, serving in France and Germany. While fighting in Germany he would be injured by a severly injured by a grenade, he would spend the rest of the war in a hospital, where he would meet Tony Mottola, who motivated him to begin playing the guitar. Once the war ended, Bryant would join the USO, where he would play until he was discharged. After the war, he would drift around various states, including Georgia, Tennessee and Washington, D.C., Where he played as ''Buddy'' Bryant. George Jenkins (soccer)
George Edward Jenkins (September 1904 – January 1985) was a Canadian soccer player who began his career in Canada, spent a single season in the American Soccer League and ended it in Scotland. Jenkins was born in Stockton-on-Tees, England, but his family moved to Canada when he was two. They settled in Montreal and he began his senior career with Montreal CPR of the Canadian National Soccer League. At some point he also played for the Montreal Maroons. In 1926, he moved south and signed with Indiana Flooring in the American Soccer League. He played only nine league games, but scored five goals, adding another goal in two National Challenge Cup games. He then returned to Montreal, rejoining the Maroons. Although he had played as a center forward up to this time, he now moved into the nets as a result of a serious knee injury and where he remained for the rest of his career. The Three Doctors is a group of African-American motivational speakers, authors, and doctors. Origins The trio is made up of Dr. Rameck Hunt, Dr. Sampson Davis, and Dr. George Jenkins. All three grew up in Newark, New Jersey without fathers and first met as schoolmates at University High School. The three grew up in public housing and came from low-income families. During high school, the three made a pact to get through high school, college, and medical school successfully and credit school counselor Carla Dickson with guiding them through their tumultuous teenage years. They attended the pre-medicine/pre-dental course at Seton Hall University on a scholarship program. Rameck Hunt Hunt's mother was a drug addict, and he was mostly raised by his grandmother. George Neil Jenkins
George Neil Jenkins (23 October 1914 – 14 October 2007) was Professor of Oral Physiology at the Dental School of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne for most of his distinguished career. He concentrated his research on the prevention of tooth decay, becoming a world expert in oral hygiene. He was a lifelong humanist, and President of the North East Humanists group. Career After becoming one of the first students in the country to read for a degree in biochemistry, Jenkins gained a PhD at Cambridge, and by the early 1940s was teaching physiology to doctors at St. Bartholomew's Hospital. In 1946 Jenkins came to Newcastle upon Tyne and was for ten years Nuffield Lecturer in Physiology to dental students at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, a role which he pioneered.
