George Isaac Amoo
George Isaac Amoo is a Ghanaian politician who was member of parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency from January 2001 to January 2005. He was the 3rd national coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization in Ghana. NADMO coordinator Amoo was appointed by President John Kufour as the national coordinator of NADMO. He served in that capacity from August 2006 to December 2007. Politics Amoo is a member of the New Patriotic Party. He was elected as the member of parliament for the Ayawaso West-Wuogon constituency in the Greater Accra region in the 3rd parliament of the 4th republic of Ghana. He was succeeded by Akosua Frema Osei-Opare in the 2004 Ghanaian General elections. John Kufuor
John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor (born 8 December 1938) is a Ghanaian politician who served as the President of Ghana from 7 January 2001 to 7 January 2009. He was also Chairperson of the African Union from 2007 to 2008. Kufuor's career has been spent on the liberal-democratic side of Ghanaian politics, in the parties descended from the United Gold Coast Convention and the United Party. A lawyer and businessman, he was a minister in Kofi Abrefa Busia's Progress Party government during Ghana's Second Republic, and a Popular Front Party opposition frontbencher during the Third Republic. In the Fourth Republic Kufuor stood as the New Patriotic Party's candidate at the 1996 election, and then led it to victory in 2000 and 2004. Ayawaso West or Ayawaso West Wuogon is one of the constituencies in Accra represented in the Parliament of Ghana. National Disaster Management Organization
The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) is the government agency that is responsible for the management of disasters as well as other emergencies in Ghana. The board operates under Ghana's Ministry of Interior. History Ghana formed the National Disaster Management Organisation in 1996, backed by an act of Parliament (Act 927) to manage disasters and emergencies. This was after Ghana had responded to the United Nations Declaration GAD 44/236 of 1989 declaring 1990 to 1999 as the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR). Akosua Frema Osei-Opare
Frema Opare, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare (born 1948) is an astute development practitioner, an academic, and a Ghanaian politician. She represented Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Parliament of Ghana. She is the current and first female Chief of Staff of Ghana. Early life and education Frema was born on 6 June 1948. She hails from Wiamoase in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. She had her bachelor's degree in Home Science from the University of Ghana.
