George II of Antioch was Patriarch of Antioch in the 7th century. Little is known about him except that he attended the Quinisext Council in 691–692. It is speculated that he died of heat exhaustion caused by a long period of being outdoors. After his death the period of Arab tolerance that had allowed the continued existence of Christianity in regions under their domination ended. George Tupou II ( to, Siaosi Tupou II; 18 June 1874 – 5 April 1918) was the King of Tonga from 18 February 1893 until his death. He was officially crowned at Nukuʻalofa, on 17 March 1893. He was also the 20th Tuʻi Kanokupolu. Life Siaosi (George) Tupou II was related to his predecessor and founder of the united Tongan Kingdom, King George Tupou I, Tāufaʻāhau Tupou I on both sides of his family. His father was Prince Tuʻi Pelehake Fatafehi Toutaitokotaha, who was also Prime Minister of Tonga in 1905. Fatahefi's mother Sālote Pilolevu was a daughter of Tāufaʻāhau Tupou I. GEORGE was the name given to a series of operating systems released by International Computers and Tabulators (ICT) in the 1960s, for the ICT 1900 series of computers. These included GEORGE 1, GEORGE 2, GEORGE 3, and GEORGE 4. Initially the 1900 series machines, like the Ferranti-Packard 6000 on which they were based, ran a simple operating system known as Executive which allowed the system operator to load and run programs from a Teletype Model 33 ASR based system console. In December 1964 ICT set up an Operating Systems Branch to develop a new operating system for the 1906/7. The branch was initially staffed with people being released by the end of work on the OMP operating system for the Ferranti Orion. The initial design of the new system, named George after George E. Felton head of the Basic Programming Division, was based on ideas from the Orion and the spooling system of the Atlas computer. Ignatius George II ( syr, ܓܘܪܓܝܣ ܬܪܝܢܐ, ar, البطريرك جرجس الثاني ابن عبدالكريم الموصلي) was the Patriarch of Antioch and head of the Syriac Orthodox Church from 1687 until his death in 1708. Biography George was born at Mosul in 1648, and was the son of ‘Abd al-Karim. He had a brother named Rizq Allah and a sister called Maryam, who had several sons, Isaac, Matthew, and Jacob. George became a monk at the nearby monastery of Saint Matthew, where he and his nephew Isaac were ordained as priests in 1669 by Basil Yeldo, Maphrian of the East. Duke George II of Württemberg-Montbéliard (5 October 1626 in Montbéliard – 1 June 1699 in Montbéliard) was Duke of Württemberg-Montbéliard from 1662 until his death. Life George II was a son of the Duke Louis Frederick of Württemberg-Montbéliard (1586-1631) from his second marriage to Anna Eleanor (1602-1685), daughter of Count John Casimir of Nassau Gleiberg (1577-1602).
