George Fuller (Australian Politician)
Sir George Warburton Fuller (22 January 1861 – 22 July 1940) was an Australian politician who served as the 22nd Premier of New South Wales, in office from 1922 to 1925 and for one day in December 1921. He previously served in the federal House of Representatives from 1901 to 1913, representing the Division of Illawarra, and was Minister for Home Affairs under Alfred Deakin from 1909 to 1910. Early life Fuller was born in Kiama, New South Wales and was educated at Kiama Public School, Sydney Grammar School and at St Andrew's College at the University of Sydney. He received a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in 1879, and a Master of Arts in 1882 from the University of Sydney. He studied law under Sir William Patrick Manning (eminent judge and university chancellor) and became a barrister in 1884. George Fuller (painter)
George Fuller (January 17, 1822 – March 21, 1884) was an American figure and portrait painter. Biography Fuller was born in Deerfield, Massachusetts. His father, Aaron Fuller, was a farmer. His mother was Aaron's second wife, Fanny Negus of Petersham, Massachusetts. His parents were not in favor of Fuller becoming a painter. At age thirteen, he went to Boston, Massachusetts to work for a grocer, then tried selling shoes before giving up on this also and returning home. A year or so later, he went to Illinois with a survey team for the railroad, and continued working with the survey team for a couple of years. Fuller then returned home once again, entered Deerfield Academy, and began to paint in his spare time. In 1841, his desire to paint overcame his parents' opposition. He joined his half-brother Augustus as an itinerant painter, and enjoyed some success painting portraits in northern New York. George Fuller (November 7, 1802 – November 24, 1888) was an American newspaperman and politician who served briefly as a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania from 1844 to 1845. George Pargiter Fuller (8 January 1833 – 2 April 1927), was a Liberal Party politician in the United Kingdom who sat in the House of Commons from 1885 to 1895. Early life Fuller was born at Baynton, Wiltshire, the eldest surviving son of John Bird Fuller, a partner in Fuller Smith & Turner, brewers, and his wife Sophia Hanning, daughter of John Hanning. He was educated at Winchester, where he played in the 1st XI cricket for two years, and at Christ Church, Oxford, where he matriculated in 1852, and graduated B.A. and M.A. in 1859. During his time at Oxford he represented the Oxford University Cricket Club and played in the Varsity match in 1854 and 1855. He played nine innings in six first-class matches with an average of 10.44 and a top score of 40. He bowled ten overs and took 6 first-class wickets.
