George Ford (rugby Union)
George Thomas Ford (born 16 March 1993) is an English professional rugby union player who plays at fly-half for Sale Sharks and England. Ford made his debut for Leicester in 2009 and between 2013–2017 played for Bath, before re-joining Leicester, until 2021 when he signed for Sale Sharks for the 2022/23 Premiership season. Ford made his England debut in 2014, was selected for the 2015 Rugby World Cup, and started the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final. He won Premiership Rugby titles in 2013 & 2022 for Leicester, and was a finalist for Bath in 2015. Early life Ford was born in Oldham, Greater Manchester, he is the son of Rugby League legend Mike Ford. Oldham
Oldham is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, amid the Pennines and between the rivers Irk and Medlock, southeast of Rochdale and northeast of Manchester. It is the administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, which had a population of 237,110 in 2019. Owen Farrell
Owen Andrew Farrell (born 24 September 1991) is an English professional rugby union player, currently captain of Gallagher Premiership side Saracens. Farrell has played international rugby for England since 2012. Farrell is one of the top points scorers in test history, having scored over 1000 points from over 100 tests. His father is Andy Farrell, who played both rugby league and rugby union for England and is the current head coach of Ireland. His preferred position is fly-half, but he often plays at inside centre for England during international matches. World Rugby Junior Player Of The Year ...
The World Rugby Junior Player of the Year is an accolade awarded annually by the World Rugby. It is awarded to the player of the tournament in that year's World Rugby Under 20 Championship. It replaces the now defunct U21 Player of the Year and the U19 Player of the Year. From 2008 until 2013, it was the IRB Junior Player of the Year. BBC Young Sports Personality Of The Year
The BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award is presented at the annual BBC Sports Personality of the Year award ceremony. It is awarded to the sportsperson aged 17 or under as of 1 January of that year, who has made the most outstanding contribution to sport in that year. Nominees are generally British. Non-Britons are eligible if they are UK resident, play a significant amount of sport in the United Kingdom, and their core achievements for the year took place in the UK, and were not done with a non-UK national team. All winners to date have been British. Nominations are put forward via Youth Sport Trust, and a judging panel then decides on a ten-person shortlist. The panel later reconvenes to choose the top three, and decides on the winner by secret ballot. The 2011 IRB Junior World Championship was the fourth annual international rugby union competition for Under 20 national teams, this competition replaced the now defunct under 19 and under 21 world championships. Bradford Bulls
The Bradford Bulls are a professional rugby league club in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, playing in the Championship. They have won five Challenge Cups, six league championships and three World Club Challenges. The team jersey is predominantly white with red, amber and black chevrons. In 1907, Bradford F.C., founder member of the Rugby Football League, switched codes to association football and Bradford Northern, often abbreviated to Northern, was formed by members who wished to continue rugby. Bradford Northern were renamed Bradford Bulls in 1996, at the start of Super League. Bradford's main rivalries are with Leeds, Halifax and Huddersfield. Saddleworth Rangers are an amateur Rugby League side, formed in 1930, based at Shaw Hall Bank Road, Greenfield, Greater Manchester in the Saddleworth district of Oldham.
