George Eichhorn
George S. Eichhorn (born December 1, 1954) was a Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 2001 until 2007. He was defeated by Democrat McKinley Bailey in the 2006 election. He ran for the United States Senate in 2008. In 2010 he ran for Iowa Secretary of State. The Iowa House of Representatives is the lower house of the Iowa General Assembly, the upper house being the Iowa Senate. There are 100 seats in the Iowa House of Representatives, representing 100 single-member districts across the state, formed by dividing the 50 Senate districts in half. Each district has a population of approximately 30,464 . The House of Representatives meets at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. Davenport is a city in and the county seat of Scott County, Iowa, United States. Located along the Mississippi River on the eastern border of the state, it is the largest of the Quad Cities, a metropolitan area with a population of 384,324 and a combined statistical area population of 474,019, ranking as the 147th-largest MSA and 91st-largest CSA in the nation. Stratford is a city in Hamilton and Webster counties in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 707 at the time of the 2020 census. History Stratford was platted in 1880. It was named after Stratford-upon-Avon, in England. A post office has been in operation in Stratford since 1881. Stratford was actually first founded at Hook's Point, Hamilton County, Iowa. McKinley Bailey
McKinley Bailey (born November 12, 1980) is the Iowa State Representative from the 9th District. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2007. Bailey currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Commerce committee; the Economic Growth committee; the Natural Resources committee; the Veterans Affairs committee. He also serves as vice-chair of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee. Bailey was elected in 2006 with 5,685 votes (55%), defeating Republican opponent George S. Eichhorn.
