George Arthur Bloom
George Arthur Bloom (born 1945) is an US-born Canadian screenwriter and producer known for his work on Nelvana television titles such as ''The Magic School Bus'' and ''Cyberchase''. He also wrote the pilots for '' The Transformers'' and ''My Little Pony'', as well as a number of installments of the ''My Little Pony'' series such as ''My Little Pony 'n Friends'' and ''My Little Pony Tales''. For over four decades, Bloom has written television and film scripts for children and adults alike. Nelvana Enterprises, Inc. (; previously known as Nelvana Limited, sometimes known as Nelvana Animation and simply Nelvana or Nelvana Communications) is a Canadian animation studio and entertainment company owned by Corus Entertainment. Founded in 1971 by Michael Hirsh, Patrick Loubert and Clive A. Smith, it was named after Nelvana of the Northern Lights, the first Canadian national superhero, who was created by Adrian Dingle. The company's production logo is a polar bear looking at Polaris, the North Star. ''Too Close for Comfort'' is an American sitcom television series that aired on ABC from November 11, 1980, to May 5, 1983, and in first-run syndication from April 7, 1984, to February 7, 1987. Its name was changed to ''The Ted Knight Show'' when the show was retooled in 1986 for what would turn out to be its final season, due to Ted Knight's death. The original concept of the series was based on the 1980s British sitcom '' Keep It in the Family''. ''Saban's Tenko and the Guardians of the Magic'' is an American animated television series that was produced by Saban Entertainment. It centers on the fictional adventures of Japanese real-life magician Princess Tenko, Mariko Itakura. After each episode, she would appear in a live-action segment to perform an illusion or do her "Teach-A-Trick," a segment that teaches the audience a simple magic trick they could perform at home. ''Street Sharks'' is an American Superhero fiction, superhero animated series about the adventures of crime-fighting half-man/half-sharks. It was produced by DIC Entertainment, DIC Productions, L.P. and Bohbot Entertainment, and aired from 1994 to 1997, originally as a part of Bohbot's ''BKN, Amazin' Adventures'' programming block. before moving to American Broadcasting Company, ABC for its final season.
