Georg Reichwein
Georg Reichwein, Jr. (1630–1710) was a military government official. He was the son of general major Georg Reichwein, Sr., who immigrated to Denmark-Norway from Hesse in 1628. In 1658 he became captain in charge of the ''Sør-Gudbrandsdalske'' company. In a letter written in 1664 we find he lived at Jørstad farm in Fåberg. His father was raised to a peerage in 1655, and he would have been foremost in rank at Fåberg in his time. He bought both Nordre Jørstad and Søndre Jørstad farms in 1672. Reichwein was promoted to Major in 1675, and as Lieutenant Colonel in 1682 he was commander of Kongsvinger Fortress. He remained at Kongsvinger and became a Colonel in 1689. He lived at Vingnes in 1695, where he is recorded as married to his second wife, Catharina Sverdrup. He died in 1710. Fåberg
Fåberg is a former municipality in the old Oppland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until 1964. Now, it is part of Lillehammer Municipality in Innlandet county. The administrative centre was the village of Fåberg. History The prestegjeld of ''Faaberg'' (later spelled ''Fåberg'') was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt law). On 1 January 1906, a part of Faaberg (population: 140) that was adjacent to the town of Lillehammer was transferred from Faaberg to the town of Lillehammer. Kongsvinger Fortress ( no, Kongsvinger festning) is located in the city and municipality of Kongsvinger in the county of Hedmark, Norway. It is situated on a hill west and north of the Glomma river, standing astride the ancient Vinger Royal Road, which connected Norway and Värmland, Sweden as well as on the north-south Norwegian route along the Glomma. Lorentz Reichwein (c. 1680, in Fåberg – 22 April 1735, in Copenhagen) was a Norwegian and Danish military officer. The diocesan governor of Bergen in Norway was a government agency of the Kingdom of Norway. The title was before 1919, and in 1919 all stiftamt were abolished in favor of equal counties ( no, fylker). The (principal county) of ''Bergenhus'' (later simplified to ''Bergen stiftamt'') was established in 1662 by the king. It was originally made up of several subordinate counties: Nordlandenes, Sunnmøre, Søndre Bergenhus, and Nordre Bergenhus. Bergenhus stiftamt was led by a ''stiftamtmann'' and the subordinate counties were led by an ''amtmann''. The seat of the stiftamt was the city of Bergen. Hans Hansen Lilienskiold (c.1650 – 1703) was a Norwegian jurist, government official, civil servant, and land owner. He was a member of the Lilienskiold noble family and served as County Governor of Finnmark. He is particularly remembered as an author for his works on the topography and culture of Finnmark. Biography Lilienskiold was born in Bergen, Norway. He was the eldest of six in the family of Hans Hansen (Smidt) Lillienskiold (ca. 1610–1681) and Margrethe Jonasdatter (ca. 1624–1654). Hans Hansen Smidt had been born in Tønder, Denmark. He became a lawyer in Bergen in 1650 and later held various government commissions.
