Jeff Morris (September 20, 1934 – July 12, 2004) was an American film and television actor. Among his roles was ''Bob'', the owner of Bob's Country Bunker, in ''The Blues Brothers''. He later reprised his role in ''Blues Brothers 2000''. Biography Born in the Missouri city of St. Joseph, he was raised in Lubbock, Texas. After high school, he went to Hollywood and worked his way into the movies. He had roles in many war films, including Private Cowboy in ''Kelly's Heroes'' and in television westerns, ''Death Valley Days'' (including the role of Morgan Earp), and '' Bonanza''. Morris appeared in a number of films starring Jack Nicholson, among them ''Goin' South'', '' The Border'', '' Ironweed'', ''The Two Jakes'', ''The Crossing Guard'' and ''Anger Management''. Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions
The Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition (formerly the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions) is an annual singing competition sponsored by the Metropolitan Opera. Established in 1954, its purpose is to discover, assist, promote, and develop young opera singers. The competition is held in four stages: Districts, Regional, Semi-Final, and Final competitions. Each stage is judged by a panel of representatives from the Metropolitan Opera. There are a total of 14 regional competitions within the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, and 42 district competitions within each region. Winners from the district competition compete in Regionals, and then the winners of regionals are awarded a trip to New York City where they compete on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera in the National Semi-Final Competition. Geoffrey Morris (8 February 1949 – 16 February 2015) was an English footballer who played for Walsall, Shrewsbury Town, Bangor City, Port Vale, Kidderminster Harriers, and Brisbane Lions (Australia). A winger, he scored 58 goals in 305 league games in an 11-year career in the Football League. He won promotion out of the Fourth Division with Shrewsbury Town in 1974–75. Morris began his career in 1964 at Walsall, who finished ninth in the Third Division in 1965–66 under the stewardship of Ray Shaw. Geoffrey Paul Morris (born 3 October 1954) is a former Australian rules footballer who played 220 games and kicked 316 goals for West Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) between 1973 and 1986. Career Born in South Australia's second-most-populous city, Mount Gambier, Morris, a left footer, spent most of his time either on the Wing or as a half-forward flanker. He played the game aggressively and was always hard on the ball. As a result he was particularly injury prone and over the course of his career suffered many injuries including broken legs, a broken jaw and broken wrist. In 1983 he was a member of West's premiership side which defeated Sturt in the Grand Final, having to overcome a hamstring injury to be passed fit to play. To do this Morris spent a lot of grand final week at the Morphettville Racecourse stables using machines used on horses in a successful bid to play.
