Geoffrey Bouchard
Geoffrey Bouchard (born 1 April 1992) is a French cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . In August 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Vuelta a España. He took over the lead in the King of the Mountains competition following stage 16 and would hold this lead for the remainder of the race. In October 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Giro d'Italia. He would also start the Giro the following year, and in May 2021 he became the first French rider to win the mountains classification in the Giro since Laurent Fignon in 1984. 2021 Giro D'Italia
The 2021 Giro d'Italia was the 104th edition of the Giro, a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race. It started on 8 May and finished on 30 May. On 26 May 2019, the race organisers RCS Sport originally announced that the start of the 2021 Giro (known as the ''Grande Partenza'') would be in Sicily, Italy. However, on 4 February 2021, RCS Sport announced that the race would instead start in Turin, with the rest of the race route being announced on 24 February 2021. The race was won by Egan Bernal of , winning his first Giro title and his second Grand Tour victory overall. He became the second Colombian to win the Giro after Nairo Quintana did so in 2014. French National Road Race Championships
The French National Road Race Championship is a cycling race where the French cyclists decide who will become the champion for the year to come. The event was established in 1899, a professional championship was established in 1907 and the women's championship was established in 1951. Several additional categories were added later. The record for victories is by one of the best female cyclists, Jeannie Longo, who has so far won 20 road championships. The winners of each event are awarded with a symbolic cycling jersey which is blue, white and red, just like the national flag, these colours can be worn by the rider at other road racing events in the country to show their status as national champion. Grand Tour (cycling)
In road bicycle racing, a Grand Tour is one of the three major European professional cycling stage races: Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a España. Collectively they are termed the ''Grand Tours'', and all three races are similar in format, being three-week races with daily stages. They have a special status in the UCI regulations: more points for the UCI World Tour are distributed in Grand Tours than in other races, and they are the only stage races allowed to last longer than 14 days. All three races have a substantial history, with the Tour de France first held in 1903, Giro d'Italia first held in 1909 and the Vuelta a España first held in 1935. The 2022 UAE Tour was a road cycling stage race that took place between 20 and 26 February 2022 in the United Arab Emirates. It was the fourth edition of the UAE Tour and the opening race of the 2022 UCI World Tour. 2021 Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge
The 2021 Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge was the third edition of the Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge road cycling one-day race, which was a category 1.1 event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour. After the 2020 edition was postponed to August due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the race returned to its usual mid-June time slot. The long race in the southeastern French province of Provence started in Vaison-la-Romaine and featured two ascents of Mont Ventoux, with the race finishing at the summit of the second ascent. Paris–Camembert
Paris–Camembert (also Paris–Camembert Trophée Lepetit or Paris–Camembert Lepetit) is a semi classic held annually in April. Since 2005, the race is organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The route of the race has varied over the years, it previously started in Magnanville, near Paris, and finished in Vimoutiers. The present day race starts in Pont-Audemer in the Eure department and heads south for 60 km to the environs of the finishing town of Livarot in the Calvados department. Once in the region of Livarot the race takes in seven climbs around the town, some of which are ascended several times.
