Geoff Stradling
Geoff Stradling (born May 19, 1955 in Bellingham, Washington) is an American pianist, keyboardist, composer, arranger and orchestrator. He has recorded with Ernestine Anderson (including the Grammy-nominated CDs ''Blues, Dues and Love News'' and ''Now And Then''), Ladd McIntosh, Kenny Goldberg, Joe Gallardo, and ''Jane's Addiction'' on ''Ritual de lo Habitual''. He is a jazz composer, having won the International Association for Jazz Education (IAJE) national composition contest in 1974 with his composition "The Great White Also", a literary reference to H. Allen Smith, published by the C. L. Barnhouse Company. Two of his newer works are featured on the Wayne Bergeron CD entitled ''Plays Well With Others'': "Samba Brassiliero", and "Scheherazade", a re-working of the third movement of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's work. Bellingham, Washington
Bellingham ( ) is the most populous city in, and county seat of Whatcom County in the U.S. state of Washington. It lies south of the U.S.–Canada border in between two major cities of the Pacific Northwest: Vancouver, British Columbia (located to the northwest) and Seattle ( to the south). The city had a population of 92,314 as of 2019. The city of Bellingham, incorporated in 1903, consolidated four settlements: Bellingham, Whatcom, Fairhaven, and Sehome. Diane Schuur
Diane Joan Schuur (born December 10, 1953), nicknamed "Deedles", is an American jazz singer and pianist. As of 2015, Schuur had released 23 albums, and had extended her jazz repertoire to include essences of Latin, gospel, pop and country music. Her most successful album is '' Diane Schuur & the Count Basie Orchestra'', which remained number one on the Billboard Jazz Charts for 33 weeks. She won Grammy Awards for best female jazz vocal performance in both 1986 and 1987 and has had three other Grammy nominations. Schuur has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and the White House, and has performed with many artists including Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Quincy Jones, and Stevie Wonder. Co-performers on Schuur's albums have included Barry Manilow, José Feliciano, Maynard Ferguson, Stan Getz, Vince Gill, Alison Krauss, and B.B. King. Her album with B.B.
