Geoff Eltringham
Geoff Eltringham (born 1979) is an English football referee who currently officiates in the English Football League. Early life and career He was born in County Durham. Eltringham was appointed on to the English Football League list as an assistant in 2008, and was upgraded to referee in 2009. He made his debut as a referee for the Morecambe F.C. v Hereford United Hereford United Football Club was an association football club based in Hereford, England. Morecambe ( ) is a seaside town and civil parish in the City of Lancaster district of Lancashire, England, on Morecambe Bay, part of the Irish Sea. In 2011 the parish had a population of 34,768. Name The first use of the name was by John Whitaker in his ''History of Manchester'' (1771), when he refers to the "æstury of Moricambe". It next appears four years later in ''Antiquities of Furness'', where the bay is described as "the Bay of Morecambe". The 2009–10 Premier League (known as the Barclays Premier League for sponsorship reasons) was the 18th season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. Select Group
The Select Group is a panel of English professional football referees and assistant referees, appointed by Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL). The group was first formed in 2001, when England became the first country to use fully professional referees in its top flight. Select Group officials In August 2024, the PGMOL shared updates to the Select Group officiating panels. Furthermore, in August 2024, the retirement of Rebecca Welch was announced.
