Geoff Corke
Cuthbert Geoffrey Corke (30 December 1934 - 1 May 1993) was an Australian radio and television presenter. He became one of the first people to appear on television in Melbourne when he introduced GTV-9's test transmissions in 1956. Early life Corke was born at St George's Hospital in the Melbourne suburb of Kew on 30 December 1934. At the age of three months, he relocated with his parents to Papua New Guinea where his father managed a rubber plantation near Port Moresby. He and his parents returned to Melbourne when they were evacuated back to Australia from Papua New Guinea after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941. Produced in Australia by the Sydney based independent production company Crackerjack Productions for TV1 (Australia), TV1 and the Nine Network, ''The King'' was first shown on 20 May 2007 on TV1 for Foxtel and Austar and became the highest rating drama ever screened on subscription television in Australia, drawing 511,000 viewers. Harry Montague Hammond (7 May 1916 – 1 April 1998), professionally known as Happy Hammond, was an Australian comedian, radio host and children's television show host, and television producer. Bert Newton
Albert Watson Newton (23 July 1938 – 30 October 2021) was an Australian media personality. He was a Logie Hall of Fame inductee, quadruple Gold Logie award-winning entertainer and radio, theatre and television personality and presenter. Graham Cyril Kennedy AO (15 February 1934 – 25 May 2005) was an Australian entertainer, comedian and variety performer, as well as a personality and star of radio, theatre, television and film. General Sir Reginald Alexander Dallas Brooks, (22 August 1896 – 22 March 1966) was a British military commander who went on to become the 19th and longest-serving governor of Victoria, Australia. Early life Brooks was born on 22 August 1896 at Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, son of Dallas George Brooks and Violet Ruth, née Shepherd. He was an only child.
