Geoff Case (18 September 1935 – 22 June 2018) was an Australian rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League (VFL). The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Points are scored by kicking the oval ball between the central goal posts (worth six points), or between a central and outer post (worth one point, otherwise known as a "behind").
