''Genius and Figure'' (Spanish: ''Genio y figura'') is a 1953 Mexican comedy film directed by Fernando Méndez and starring Luis Aguilar, Antonio Badú and Esther Fernández. Alfaro p.86 It was shot at the Churubusco Studios in Mexico City. The film's sets were designed by the art director José Rodríguez Granada. Plot Antonio is a player who abandoned his woman as soon as she gives birth. Antonio's friend Luis, will do his best to make him go back to his family. Fernando Méndez (1908–1966) was a Mexican film director and screenwriter. He was active during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. In 1957 he switched from melodramas to focus increasingly on horror films. Evangelina Elizondo
Gloria Evangelina Elizondo López-Llera (28 April 1929 – 2 October 2017) was a Mexican actress and singer from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. She starred in movies, television and theater. She was an accomplished artist having studied at the National School of Painting and had a degree in theology. She wrote two books and recorded numerous albums. In 2014, she received a ''Premios Arlequín'' (Harlequin Prize) for her contributions to Mexican culture. Biography Gloria Evangelina Elizondo López-Llera was born on 28 April 1929 in Mexico City. Her mother, Evangelina López Llera, was a painter. At the age of 21, she won a contest to become the voice of Cinderella in the original Spanish-language release of the Walt Disney feature film.
