General Studies
General Studies is a multidisciplinary subject offered at different levels of education. Its scope varies by country. North America Some North American universities offer the Bachelor of General Studies degree. England, Wales and Northern Ireland General Studies is a GCSE and former A-level examination offered to 16- to 18-year-olds in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It overlaps with PSHE and citizenship. The GCSE syllabus covered arts and culture, politics and the economy, society and ethics, science and technology, and the relationships between these topics. Bachelor Of General Studies
A Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) is a highly interdisciplinary undergraduate academic degree offered by colleges and universities that "allows students to combine and explore multiple subjects." The concept of general studies derives from the medieval European university concept of ''studium generale''. A BGS program allows students to design a degree plan with advisors while meeting their academic institution's general requirements. Students can typically choose from concentrations in a variety of areas. Despite its name, Columbia University School of General Studies does not confer Bachelor of General Studies degrees but Bachelor of Arts degrees instead. GCE Advanced Level
The A-Level (Advanced Level) is a subject-based qualification conferred as part of the General Certificate of Education, as well as a school leaving qualification offered by the educational bodies in the United Kingdom and the educational authorities of British Crown dependencies to students completing secondary or pre-university education. PSHE
Personal, social, health and economic education is a school curriculum subject in England that focuses on strengthening the knowledge, skills, and connections to keep children and young people healthy and safe and prepare them for life and work. PSHE education is defined by the schools inspectorate Ofsted as a planned programme to help children and young people develop fully as individuals and as members of families and social and economic communities. Its goal is to equip young people with the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthily, safely, productively and responsibly. The Malaysian Higher School Certificate ( ms, Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia), commonly abbreviated as STPM, is a pre-university examination in Malaysia. It was formerly known as the Higher School Certificate (HSC). Since 1982, STPM has been administered by the Malaysian Examinations Council (MEC), a statutory council under the Ministry of Education. The College of General Studies offers a two-year, general education core curriculum within Boston University. CGS is constructed in team system that limits the number of students in sections.
