General Luis Street
General Luis Street is a two-to-four lane, major east-west thoroughfare situated in the cities of Valenzuela, North Caloocan and Quezon City. Heavy traffic is usually expected when traversing this road due to concentration of tricycles and jeepneys, commercial establishments, warehouses and factories along and near the vicinity, although there have been multiple plans to alleviate traffic congestion such as obstruction removal, road widening and improvement, and construction of additional roads like the Mindanao Avenue extension. Mindanao Avenue
Mindanao Avenue ( fil, Abenida Mindanao) is an eight-to-ten lane divided avenue connecting EDSA and NLEX and is a part of Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) in Metro Manila, Philippines. It is one of the three parallel roads that connects Tandang Sora and Congressional Avenues (Visayas Avenue and Luzon Avenue were the others); that is why it was named after the southernmost mainland of the Philippines, Mindanao. It used to be a highway connecting North Avenue and Congressional Avenue, but as a part of the C-5 projects, Mindanao Avenue was extended to EDSA in the south and to Quirino Highway to the north. Novaliches
Novaliches is a place that forms the northern areas of Quezon City, and encompasses the whole area of North Caloocan. Etymology The name Novaliches came from the name of the small village of Novaliches in the town of Jérica, Spain. It was awarded to General Manuel Pavía y Lacy, who served as a Governor-General of the Philippines. The child Queen Isabella II bestowed on him the title "Marquez of Novaliches" for defending her against her uncle Don Carlos María Isidro Benito de Borbón, who claimed the throne of Spain which resulted in the First Carlist War. Maysan Road
Maysan Road is one of the main east–west thoroughfares of Valenzuela, Philippines. It is a narrow street with only one lane in each direction making it one of the most congested streets in northern Metro Manila. It runs for approximately from MacArthur Highway in barangay Malinta, past the North Luzon Expressway intersection, into North Caloocan.
