Häckeberga Castle
Häckeberga Castle ( sv, Häckeberga slott) is a mansion at Lund Municipality in Scania, Sweden. The estate dates back to the 14th century and is located on one of the seven islets of Lake Häckebergasjön. The manor house was built in French Renaissance style between 1873 and 1875 by Tönnes Wrangel von Brehmer after drawings by Helgo Zettervall (1831-1907). Toppeladugård Castle
Toppeladugård Castle ( sv, Toppeladugårds slott) is a manor house at Lund Municipality in Scania, Sweden. Several of the adjoining buildings, as well as the park around the castle, originate from the 18th-century. History Originally, Toppeladugård was a smaller farm. Toppeladugård was originally an outbuilding under Häckeberga Castle. In 1720, the property was bought by Christina Piper (1673–1752) who had the first castle built and the Baroque garden created around it. In 1918, Toppeladugård was acquired by Johan Kuylenstierna. The old three-story buildings were in poor condition at the time of the acquisition and he soon had the main building and the west wing demolished. The current Renaissance style building was erected in 1918–20 the basis of the designs of Lars Johan Lehming (1871–1940). Björnstorp Castle
Björnstorp Castle ( sv, Björnstorp slott) is a manor building in Lund Municipality, Scania, Sweden. It was built in 1752 and reshaped in 1860–1880, with its final appearance set in 1868, by architect Helgo Zettervall (1831–1907). History Björnstorp is mentioned in 1568, when it was granted to Mikkel Pedersen Gönge from the crown. After this, it was owned by various members of the local Danish nobility. In 1725, the estate was acquired by the Swedish countess Christina Piper (1673–1752). At that time only a smaller property, she enlarged it into a manor estate: the present manor building is from 1752. In 1754, the daughter of Christina Piper, Hedvig Maria Sture, sold it to baron Fredrik Gustav Gyllenkrok of Svenstorp, and it has since then been owned by the Gyllenkrok family. Skåne
Scania, also known by its native name of Skåne (, ), is the southernmost of the historical provinces (''landskap'') of Sweden. The provinces of Sweden ( sv, Sveriges landskap) are historical, geographical and cultural regions. Sweden has 25 provinces; they have no administrative function (except for in some cases as sport districts), but remain historical legacies and a means of cultural identification as pertains, for example, to dialects and folklore. Several of them were subdivisions of Sweden until 1634, when they were replaced by the counties of Sweden (''län''). Some were conquered later on from Denmark–Norway. Others, like the provinces of Finland, were lost. Lapland is the only province acquired through colonization.
