Gemünden () is an ''Ortsgemeinde'' (a municipalities of Germany, municipality belonging to a ''Verbandsgemeinde'', a kind of collective municipality) in the Rhein-Hunsrück-Kreis (Districts of Germany, district) in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It belongs to the Kirchberg (Verbandsgemeinde), ''Verbandsgemeinde'' of Kirchberg, whose seat is in the Kirchberg, Rhein-Hunsrück, town of-Kirchberg. Geography Location The municipality lies at the southwest edge of the Soonwald, a heavily wooded section of the west-central Hunsrück. The village is found between Kirchberg, Rhein-Hunsrück, Kirchberg to the northwest and Simmertal to the southeast. In Gemünden, the Lametbach empties into the Simmerbach, whereupon the combined stream is known down to its mouth into the river Nahe (Rhine), Nahe as the Kellenbach. Gemünden am Main (officially ''Gemünden a.Main'') is a town in the Main-Spessart district in the ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Lower Franconia (''Unterfranken'') in Bavaria, Germany and lies roughly 40 km down the Main from Würzburg. Gemünden has around 10,000 inhabitants. Geography Location Gemünden is located in the Main-Spessart district in the ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Lower Franconia (''Unterfranken'') in Bavaria, on the Main, around 40 km downriver from Würzburg. Within the town, the River Sinn flows into the Franconian Saale, which itself then discharges into the Main. The Main river changes its direction at Gemünden, from northwest to west, marking the northeastern end of the ''Mainviereck'' ("Main Square") near Lohr am Main. Gemünden () is a town in Waldeck-Frankenberg district in Hesse, Germany. Geography Location Gemünden lies roughly 22 km northeast of Marburg on the edge of the Burgwald range to the west and near the Kellerwald range rising to the northeast. The river Wohra crosses the town. Gemünden () is a municipality in the Vogelsbergkreis in Hesse, Germany. Geography Location Gemünden lies on the rivers Felda and Ohm, flowing from the Vogelsberg Mountains in the region of Upper Hessen (''Oberhessen'') amongst Homberg Grünberg, Kirtorf, Romrod and Feldatal, or more broadly, between Gießen and Bad Hersfeld.
