Cyril VIII Geha
Cyril VIII Geha (or ''Jeha''), (November 26, 1840 – January 11, 1916) was patriarch of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church from 1902 until 1916. He was the last Melkite Catholic patriarch of the Ottoman era. Life Geha was born in Aleppo, Syria in 1840, he was consecrated the Melkite Catholic Archbishop of Aleppo on May 3, 1885 by patriarch Gregory II Youssef. On June 29, 1902 he became patriarch of the Melkites. In 1909 Cyril convoked a synod at Ain Traz to develop the disciplinary legislation of the Melkite Church. However, the work of the synod failed to gain confirmation from Pope Pius X, who lacked the desire of his predecessor, Pope Leo XIII, to promote the traditional rights and privileges of the Eastern Churches. Joseph Geha
Joseph Geha (born 1944, Zahle, Lebanon), professor-emeritus at Iowa State University, is the author of two books, ''Through and Through: Toledo Stories,'' one of the first books of modern Arab-American fiction, and ''Lebanese Blonde,'' a novel. He has also published poems, plays, essays and short fiction in periodicals and anthologies such as ''Esquire'', ''Growing Up Ethnic in America'', and ''The New York Times''. Education Geha moved to the United States in 1946 with his family, and in 1962 graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Toledo in 1966 with a B.A., and 1968 with an M.A. in English. Before coming to Iowa State in 1977, he taught English and Creative Writing at Missouri State University, Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo. Marla C. Geha is an American astronomer who specializes in dwarf galaxies, and especially the satellite galaxies of the Milky Way. She is a professor of astronomy and physics at Yale University, and director of telescope resources for Yale. Education and career Geha grew up wanting to be an astronaut after seeing the launch of the first Space Shuttle, and shifted her interests to astronomy in high school as a more realistic career path. She majored in applied and engineering physics as an undergraduate at Cornell University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 1995. Geha Interchange
The Geha Interchange is the confluence of Highway 4 and Road 481 in Israel. The interchange is named after the Geha Mental Health Center, which was once located near the Interchange. but was moved when it was decided to construct the Interchange. The interchange opened to traffic on March 30, 1981. The Interchange allows continuous travel without the need of traffic lights or intersections for the passengers of Highway 4 who pass on a bridge over Road 481. The Interchange forms the border between Petah Tikva to Bnei Brak and is used as one of the main entrances into those two cities. Prior to the construction of the Geha interchange, a junction existed in the site, due to this, many locals today still refer to the Interchange as the "Geha Junction". Highway 4 ( he, כּֽבִישׁ אַרְבַּע, ''Kvish Arba' '') is an Israeli highway that runs along Israel's entire Israeli Coastal Plain, coastal plain of the Mediterranean Sea, from the Rosh HaNikra Crossing, Rosh HaNikra border crossing with Lebanon in the Northern District (Israel), North to the Israeli Gaza Strip barrier#Erez Crossing, Erez Border Crossing with the Gaza Strip in the South. The highway follows in part the route of the ancient Via Maris. Until the 1990s and the withdrawal of Israel Defense Forces from most of the Gaza Strip due to the Oslo Accords, Highway 4 continued all the way until Rafah and the Egypt, Egyptian border.
