Geetanjali (1993 Film)
''Geetanjali'' is a 1993 Hindi-language romance film, produced and directed by Shakti Samanta under the Shakti Films banner. It stars Jeetendra, Rekha and music composed by Bappi Lahiri. Plot The film is a tale of two identical twin sisters Geeta & Anjali. Geeta is a simple housewife who married an honorable Prof. Sagar. However, Anjali is a renowned dancer and continuously travels abroad. Exploiting it, her manager PD functions his racketeering. Meanwhile, Kaveri Saxena a new admission at Sagar’s college is infatuated with him but she is turned down. So, she makes a bum rap on Sagar in a sexual harassment case. Believing it, Geeta quits and reaches her sister. Here, Anjali feels something is fishy, so, she moves in place of Geeta and proves Sagar’s innocence. Rahi Masoom Reza (September 1927 – 15 March 1992) was an Indian Urdu and Hindi poet and writer and a Bollywood lyricist. He is famous for singing thousands of Bollywood Hindi songs. Dinesh Thakur (1947 – 20 September 2012) was an Indian theatre director, actor in theatre, television and Hindi film, where most notably he appeared as one of the leads in ''Rajnigandha'' 1974 and directed by Basu Chatterjee, which won both Filmfare Best Movie Award and the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie. Dinesh Thakur was born in 1947 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. He was the founder-director of ANK productions, a Mumbai-based theatre company, established in 1976.
