Geeta Luthra
Geeta Luthra is a Senior Advocate in the Supreme Court of India. Career Luthra began practicing law in the 1980s. For thirty years, she practiced law with Senior Advocate Pinky Anand. Luthra's legal practice experience includes criminal law, arbitration law, constitutional law, human rights and economic offenses. Her cases have included women's maintenance and property rights, bail in offenses against women, and the right for transgender people to serve in the paramilitary forces in India. She has also provided free legal services, including for female prison inmates in Bihar. Senior Counsel
The title of Senior Counsel or State Counsel (post-nominal letters: SC) is given to a senior lawyer in some countries that were formerly part of the British Empire. "Senior Counsel" is used in current or former Commonwealth countries or jurisdictions that have chosen to change the title "King's Counsel" to a name without monarchical connotations, usually related to the British monarch that is no longer head of state, such that reference to the King is no longer appropriate. Examples of jurisdictions which have made the change because of the latter reason include Mauritius, Zambia, India, Hong Kong, Ireland, South Africa, Kenya, Malawi, Singapore, Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago. Aarogya Setu (translation from Sanskrit: ''the bridge to health'') is an Indian COVID-19 "contact tracing, syndromic mapping and self-assessment" digital service, primarily a mobile app, developed by the National Informatics Centre under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Sidharth Luthra
Sidharth Luthra (Hindi: ; born 16 February 1966) is a senior advocate at the Supreme Court of India. In July 2012, Sidharth Luthra was appointed as the Additional Solicitor General of India at the Supreme Court and represented the union and various state governments in matters relating to fundamental rights, electoral reforms, criminal law and policy issues. He resigned from this position in May 2014. He is the son of K.K. Luthra who was also a senior advocate and brother of senior advocate Geeta Luthra. Luthra specialises in criminal law, white-collar crimes and cyber frauds. He studied law at the University of Delhi where he completed his LLB in 1990 and then did an MPhil in Criminology from the University of Cambridge in 1991. Sir Elihu Lauterpacht (13 July 1928 – 8 February 2017) was a British academic and lawyer, who specialized in international law. The son of Sir Hersch Lauterpacht, he was founder of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the Law Faculty in Cambridge University. Early life and education Lauterpacht was born on 13 July 1928 in Cricklewood, London, to Rachel and Hersch Lauterpacht, and was educated at King's College School, Cambridge. Anti-conversion Law
Anti-conversion laws, or anti-conversion legislations, are a set of judicial rules that restrict or prohibit conversion of faith (proselytism) from one religion to another. It is a federal law in countries such as Algeria, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Nepal. They are meant to prevent forced conversion of individuals to different religions, and offences are punishable by imprisonment and fine. In India, there is no federal law but nine states have sanctioned their own laws, such as Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
