Geep Chryst
George Patrick "Geep" Chryst (born June 25, 1962) is an American football coach & scout, currently a Pro Scout for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Previously he served as the tight ends coach and offensive coordinator for the California Golden Bears. Chryst has 25 years of NFL coaching experience, working as an offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and tight ends coach. In 13 of the 25 seasons coaching in the NFL his offense ranked in the Top Ten in either Rushing, Passing or Points Scored. When in San Francisco from 2011-2014 he coached Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick. The 49ers won 54 games in that span and both quarterbacks set career records for passer rating in 2012 when Kaepernick took over for Smith Week 11 in a MNF win over the Bears. Keller Joseph Chryst (born November 17, 1995) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football at Tennessee and Stanford. Early years Chryst attended Weddington High School in Weddington, North Carolina for his freshman year before transferring to Palo Alto High School in Palo Alto, California. Richard Chryst is a former college football commissioner who now works in the private sector with Dietz Sports and Entertainment. College and early career Chryst played baseball at the University of Notre Dame from 1979 to 1983. In 1982, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He earned a BA in economics in 1983. Paul Joseph Chryst (born November 17, 1965) is a former American football head coach and former player. He was most recently the head football coach for the Wisconsin Badgers. Chryst was the head coach at the University of Pittsburgh from 2012 to 2014. James Andrew Tomsula (born April 14, 1968) is an American football coach and head coach of the Rhein Fire of the European League of Football. Serving as a defensive coach throughout his career, Tomsula has also been the head coach for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe and the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL).
