Süleyman Turan
Süleyman Turan (19 November 1936 – 10 September 2019) was a Turkish film and theater actor. Süleyman Turan died at the age of 82 in Istanbul on 10 September 2019. Following the religious funeral service held at Şakirin Mosque, he was interred at Karacaahmet Cemetery The Karacaahmet Cemetery ( tr, Karacaahmet Mezarlığı) is a 700-year-old historic cemetery, located in Üsküdar, the Asian side of Istanbul. Nurgül Yeşilçay
Nurgül Yeşilçay (born 26 March 1976) is a Turkish actress. Biography Nurgül Yeşilçay was born in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, in 1976. She studied drama at the State Conservatoire of Anadolu University in Eskişehir. Since her graduation, she has performed several major roles for the stage, including Ophelia in ''Hamlet'' and Blanche DuBois in ''A Streetcar Named Desire''. Theatre aside, she shot to prominence as the lead in, among others, three record-breaking Turkish television dramas. Her film ''Edge of Heaven'' won the prize for best screenplay at the 60th Cannes Film Festival in 2007. She reported "big projects were offered to me by well-known producers in Cannes. But my son is a baby. I need begin new life. I can't." She made her screen debut in 2001 in Semir Arslanyürek's feature '' Şellale'' (''The Waterfall''). Gece (band)
Gece (English: ''Night'')is a Turkish alternative/indie rock band. Band history Can Baydar and Eren Çilalioğlu had been playing together since their high school days and they joined with Gökçe Balaban to form the band Gece (meaning "night") in 2000. Their lineup was completed when Erdem Başer joined them in 2004. Gece began playing in various bars in Ankara such as Saklıkent, Limon, Manhattan and If. as well as universities and schools. In 2005 they reached the final of thRoxy Music Days contest. In 2008, they went into the studio and recorded their first album İçinde Saklı which was produced by Koray Candemir. The band continued performing and made appearances in festivals such as Masstival and Rock'n Coke Rock'n Coke was the biggest open Turkish rock festival sponsored by Coca-Cola.
