Edene Gebbie (born 6 May 1995) is a Papua New Guinean professional rugby league footballer who plays as a and er for Whitehaven in the Betfred Championship and Papua New Guinea at international level. Sir Frederick St John Gebbie Order of the Indian Empire, CIE (7 August 1871 – 20 March 1939) was a British civil engineer in India. Gebbie was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was educated at Edinburgh Collegiate School, the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Indian Engineering College. He joined the Bombay Presidency Public Works Department as an Assistant Engineer in 1893, was promoted to Executive Engineer in 1899, Superintending Engineer in 1911, and Chief Engineer in 1915, and became Secretary of the Department in 1916. He worked for many years in Sind Division, Sind and was one of the main proponents of the Lloyd Barrage at Sukkur, which was constructed to fertilise the region. Katharine Blodgett Gebbie (July 4, 1932 – August 17, 2016) was an American astrophysicist and civil servant. She was the founding Director of the Physical Measurement Laboratory of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and of its two immediate predecessors, the Physics Laboratory and the Center for Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, both for which she was the only Director. During her 22 years of management of these institutions, four of its scientists were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics. Kristine Elizabeth Moore Gebbie (June 26, 1943 – May 17, 2022) was an American academic and public health official working as a professor at the Flinders University School of Nursing & Midwifery in Adelaide, Australia. Gebbie previously served as the AIDS Policy Coordinator (or " AIDS Czar") from 1993 to 1994. Early life and education Gebbie was born in Sioux City, Iowa on June 26, 1943, the daughter of Irene (Stewart), who worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Thomas Moore, a career officer in the Army. Luke Michael Corpuz Gebbie (born November 7, 1996) is a Filipino Olympic swimmer. He holds a Southeast Asian Games bronze medal in 50 meter freestyle and a silver in 4x100 freestyle relay.
