GeTai Challenge (season 2)
''GeTai Challenge 2018'' (), is the second season of '' GeTai Challenge'', a hit reality-singing competition organised by Mediacorp Channel 8, returning after a three-year hiatus. The second season consist of 17 episodes premiered on Channel 8 on 20 April 2018, with the grand finals taped on 26 July 2018 at MES Theatre and aired on 10 August 2018. For the first time, the episodes were available on catchup on Gov.sg's YouTube channel, in addition to the Toggle website (unlike the last season, all episodes were uploaded) The show was sponsored by the Ministry of Communications and Information. On 10 August 2018, 50-year old Getai veteran singer and sister of resident judge Liu Lingling, Angie Lau was declared the winner of ''GeTai Challenge 2018'' and took home a $20,000 cash award; 45-year old restaurant owner Jason Chung was named the runner-up and won $10,000. Cavin Soh
Cavin Soh (, born 17 November 1970) (苏智诚/苏志诚 Su Zhi Cheng previous name) is a Singaporean actor, host, watch dealer and singer. Career Soh used to be a lead singer in the band Dreamz FM (梦飞船) and a radio deejay on MediaCorp's Chinese language station Y.E.S. 93.3FM before switching to television and acting. In 2005, he won the Best Supporting Actor award for his portrayal of Zhou Daqiu, the antagonist, in ''Portrait of Home''. The character was also voted the Top 10 Most Memorable Villains at the Star Awards 2007 anniversary special. Besides acting in dramas, Soh still juggles his musical interests with television commitments. He has written and performed the theme songs of a number of drama series and was a judge on ''SuperBand'' and ''Campus SuperStar''. Singaporean Hokkien
Singaporean Hokkien is a local variety of the Hokkien language spoken natively in Singapore. Within Chinese linguistic academic circles, this dialect is known as Singaporean Ban-lam Gu. It bears similarities with the Amoy spoken in Amoy, now better known as Xiamen, as well as Taiwanese Hokkien which is spoken in Taiwan. Hokkien is the Min Nan pronunciation for the province of Fujian, and is generally the term used by the Chinese in Southeast Asia to refer to the 'Banlam' dialect. Project SuperStar (season 3)
The third season of the Singaporean reality talent show '' Project SuperStar'' began on 18 August 2014. It was broadcast on MediaCorp Channel U and simulcast on Toggle Live. The show was hosted by Dasmond Koh, with Jeremy Chan and Shane Pow acting as managers for the contestants. Roy Li and Dawn Yip returned as judges for their third season, and they were joined by Eric Ng who appeared as a judge for the first time. Taiwanese singer Tiger Huang and former judge Lee Wei Song served as the guest judges at the grand final.
